Has a critical mass of exJWs been reached?
by truthseeker init took the better part of 15 years but i believe we have finally arrived at that point where there is now a critical mass of former witnesses.. thousands of exjws come together on forums like this one and discuss findings, ideas and research.
there have been documentaries and even a movie made about life in the jehovah's witnesses.. ex jw websites, online forums, and discussion boards that set the wheels in motion in the early to late 90s have matured into powerful tools of social change within the organization.. the lies and false doctines taught by the watchtower bible & tract society are plainly accessible with just a cursory google search.. active elders leak boe letters, often weeks before they hit the notice board in a kingdom hall.. social media has allowed exjws to connect with those still in as well as those who have left.. the society have no game plan because information is power and they have lost the information war.
all they can do is cry wolf and warn the rank and file not to listen to apostates.. i don't know what future the society will face in the next ten years, but changing world events, social trends, and reactionary change from headquarters based on their own faulty biblical chronology has got them cornered like a raging animal.. it doesn't look good..

Russia believes it has legitimate claims to Crimea (and sustantial strategic interests in the Crimea) and the West will not be able to stop an annexation by stealth - the UN, the US and the Ukraine would be foolish to threaten or use force. Economic sanctions could easily backfire given the extent to which Europe is dependent on Russian oil and gas. This is a storm in a teacup and will seen as such when historians look back in years to come.

As I said before - you are kidding yourself. As others have pointed out the WBTS has no qualms about guilting people into making donations, often sizable donations. They are no different from other religious organisations - the fact they don't pass around a plate is window dressing. An ATM to pay by credit or debit card is an electronic plate.

a high court judge has said a baby boy can undergo blood transfusions despite his parents' objections.. the baby has complex heart disease but his parents, who are jehovah's witnesses, said they could not consent to a transfusion on religious grounds.. birmingham children's hospital had applied for an order to proceed with cardiac surgery and transfusions.. the judge, mr justice keehan, heard the boy had no "long-term prospect of survival" without the surgery.. 'best interests'.
the boy was born at the university hospital of coventry and warwickshire on 7 february and placed in special care.

Like WYD I was never a Witness and so have no sympathy whatsoever for this obviously fraudulent organisation and I find it very difficult to have a lot of sympathy for the R&F even though my wife is one. The R&F are lying to themselves. They may appear good hearted but are they really? They are like the citizens of a communist or Fascist regime who comply and in doing so are complicit in the authoritrianism of the regime. If they did not comply the organisation would have no power. You apostates are the dissidents of the regime who saw through the fraud and stopped complying but are paying a heavy price for that only because your family and former friends continue to comply with the despotic regime. The organisation is despicable root and branch and should be detested for that. I am with WYD on this. If the R&F would just have the courage to see what is staring them in the face the whole edifice would crumble.
